As the first Black Woman Led, Black owned Non-Profit organization (LIFE Camp Inc) to secure a New York State Conditional Adult-Use Retail Dispensary (CAURD) license, our goal with Kush & Kemet LLC is to usher in a wave of economic empowerment and education around cannabis, especially targeting the communities disproportionately impacted by past cannabis prohibition and draconian drug laws.
To that end, Kush & Kemet is proud to be collaborating with industry and community leaders including: The Bronx Community Foundation, Dutchie, Temeka, KayaPush, Cannabis Workforce Initiative, and LIFE Camp Inc, in partnership with organizations helping to propel the New York cannabis industry forward, to host the final stop of The Official Dispensary Showroom Tour in Queens NY. This is more than just an event – it's a milestone for Queens County.
This FINAL event series is important to the New York cannabis industry in a number of ways: Cannabis License Application Bootcamp: In preparation for the general licensing application process, we are excited to host a License Application Readiness Bootcamp in addition to our retail operations programming, discussing the ins and outs of the application process and providing guidance and tips for successfully submitting your license application.
Workforce Development & Local Community Groups: We will have various organizations who can provide jobs and specific training and certification in the cannabis industry and across the state tabling and participating in this event.
Panel Discussion, "Women & Diversity in Cannabis -- The Equity Story. Hear from Kush & Kemet / LIFE Camp's own, CEO Erica Ford and Chief Wellness Officer Kheperah Kearse as they join Dr. Meisha Porter (The Bronx Community Foundation), Extasy James (CEO, Good Grades Cannabis), to discuss the journey of Women of Color in the Cannabis Industry. Join us and Learn directly from the teams who have hands-on experience launching licensed legal dispensaries in New York State!

Kush & Kemet is the first Black Woman Led, Black Owned Non-Profit to receive a NYS CAURD License. Each CAURD (conditional adult use recreational dispensary) License allows for 3 dispensaries. This gives us the unique opportunity to be early entrants and market makers for a multi billion dollar industry in one of the largest cities in the world. Our unique branding and marketing strategies will target the high end demographic and female consumer market which represents the fastest growing segment of legal cannabis.
Our health conscious and wellness approach will provide our consumers with a world class experience including spa quality treatments, CBD infused massages, CBD based skin care, cannabis infused beverages and refreshments as well as a therapeutic and relaxing consumption lounge.

LIFE Camp provides youth and families that have been impacted by violence the valuable tools they need to stay in school and out of the criminal justice system. We provide programs and other holistic approaches to reinforce self-esteem and respect for life among one another and also connect and mobilize youth to prevent and heal from violence in New York City’s most underserved communities.
